Rod Bond Tax Fraud and HMRC: One Formula LLP, Animal Welfare Charity, Knife Crime Charity and a Cold War Tank Museum

In his much-trumpeted return to UK television, following a decades-long absence Rod Bond presents “Rod Bond Tax Fraud and HMRC.” In the first episode of the documentary series, the A-list Hollywood actor takes a look at charity scams, Gift Aid and tax relief fraud. Entitled “The Worst of the Worst,” Rod Bond accompanies HMRC investigators as they pursue Manchester financial firm One Formula Limited Liability Partnership, on charges of tax fraud and tax avoidance. The actor accompanies the government agency during raids on the premises of an animal welfare charity, a knife crime charity and Manchester’s Cold War Tank Museum, all financially linked to One Formula LLP. One Formula LLP promotes itself as a financial firm specialising in tax efficiency. The company brings together the financial expertise of a financial advisor, city trader, insurance advisor, former Wales international rugby player and a former police officer.

As Rod Bond follows investigators from HMRC’s Criminal Investigation Department, viewers are shown the painstaking work undertaken to counter tax fraud and tax avoidance. With charges of fraudulent Gift Aid claims, dishonest tax relief claims and accused of operating a tax avoidance scheme, Rod Bond presents HMRC’s investigation into One Formula LLP and associated charities, in forensic detail. Charity scams exploiting Gift Aid schemes and tax relief provisions for legitimate donors cost HMRC millions each year. The first episode concludes with HMRC showing Rod Bond how charity tax fraud affects both genuine donors and legitimate causes.

Hollywood A-list actor Rod Bond is best known for his stellar movie appearances. Most recently, the Manchester-Cheshire native starred in last year’s runaway success, The Deception at Deansgreen Hall. Winning the Golden Globe for Best Actor, at the ceremony which took place this January, Rod Bond’s film industry successes have taken him from strength to strength. Rod Bond Tax Fraud and HMRC is produced by Manchester F1 Productions and will air on BBC One in the summer.
