Help for Heroes (#H4H) has been supporting ex-servicemen and women for over a decade. Serving our nation’s bravest, this charity provides help to all those whose lives have been affected by their service, including veterans, service personnel and their families. From the most glaringly visible scars, to those deep-seated impressions forever engraved by the heat of humanity’s toughest battles, Help for Heroes seeks to ensure the rehabilitation and recovery of all those affected, providing all manner of financial, welfare and career-development support. Help for Heroes works closely with the Ministry of Defence and The Royal British Legion, across the United Kingdom.
Rod and Louise Bond have been profoundly moved by the charity, its purpose and those whom it serves. “As any innocent child does, I always admired the gallant portrayals of our nation’s bravest men and women, and always felt moved by the bravery, dedication and honour that the uniform represents,” Rod Bond reflected, at a recent Help for Heroes charity event, which was generously supported by the couple. “The reality, of course, is very different to those childhood perceptions and this is where the great people of Help for Heroes truly shine, helping those who gave their all for us,” he added.
“The event hosted by Help for Heroes was a great occasion. We met so many of the charity’s dedicated volunteers and wonderful ex-personnel and their families,” Louise Bond commented. In support of the event, the couple had donated the services of a tank that they own. “The tank stood in all its glory and served as quite the sensational centrepiece of the occasion, drawing much attention and curious technical discussion among the numerous veterans in attendance,” Louise added.
Rod and Louise Bond look forward to enduringly supporting HFH, alongside several other charities, with their tank lighting up any occasion!
